chesterlgbtNestled in the middle of the green mountains, Chester is Vermont's hidden gem. The streets speak of a nostalgia and time past. People still shop on main street, and most everyone knows your name. Webfluency was very excited to be a key player in this project to promote tourism for the town, and has been working for the past few months with the team at ChesterUnited to launch a website for the town.  Featuring a comprehensive business directory and events listings, the goal of this website is to promote tourism to the town of Chester, as well as be an information kiosk about the extensive bridge work that is going on in the town over the next few years.

Since a whole town is very hard to be conveyed over a single brand, Webfluency developed a logo type treatment and branding elements that are changeable, using the idea of stamp cancels and town stamps depicting town landmarks and activities. The whole artistic treatment of the brand was inspired by vintage travel brochures found in the Chester archives, as well as a map circa 1940.

Webfluency designed and developed this website.  The site features hand-drawn illustrations of the town's most famous landmarks, a photo gallery, events calendar and a town blog.

Despite my love for James Bond and the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., it was never the intention to be a super secret web development agency in Burlington Vermont. Rather, we have been busy these past few years developing web strategy for our clients, designing logos and keeping abreast of all the changes to CSS 3.

In any case, we held off on having a web site for the longest time because despite the irony of providing this service to our clients, we also wanted to show that we help them in ways other agencies do not -- by translating the webby speak and technical jargon into real life examples. We navigate through the DNS muck, the overwhelming technobabble produced by google analytics to arrive at a destination with our clients marketing plans intact.  And the best way to start this process this will always be to have a phone conversation, or a meeting face to face.

Give us a call at 802-862-3950, we'd love to chat with you.
